There are informal groups of members working in our studio most days of the week. Check the studio diary for contacts. Below there are details of the more formal groups with rather specific interests.Click on (more) in the individual groups for more information.
This group meets on Monday afternoons in the spring, summer and autumn at an outdoor location. In winter they meet on Tuesdays and take refuge in the studio.
The group meets weekly on Thursday evenings. A theme is usually agreed a week in advance and members bring suitable items to paint and draw. Themes have ranged from "Woodworking Tools" through "Spring" and "Blue" to "Afternoon Tea".
All techniques are welcome. There is a lively Whatsapp group.(more)
The portrait group runs on a Friday morning 10am – 12noon. We have a live model and between us we use a range of media and techniques.. It is not a taught session but there are plenty of experienced portrait artists in the group who can offer you help if you’re just starting off with this challenging subject.(more)
This group meets on Wednesdays from 10am to 3pm.
The Tuesday evening group meets in the Studio at 7:15 pm except Christmas and the New Year.(more)
The group meets monthly on (usually) the fourth Wednesday from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. The usual pattern for the evening is a few short poses followed, after a tea break, by one or two longer ones allowing development of the drawing.All techniques welcome.(more)
