ALTRINCHAM SOCIETY OF ARTISTS email:officealtyartists@gmail.com
We were invited by Anthony Collins(Solicitors) to submit pictures for display in their offices in Macclesfield from 1 January 2025 for three months. Around 60 pictures were submitted and they filled the reception area and many of the workrooms in the offices
A significant number were sold. 25% of the proceeds were donated by the artists to The Care Leavers Association.
Dean Clough is a massive transformation of the former Crossley Carpets factory in Halifax to a retail and arts centre. There are a variety of galleries and around 20 studios with a similar number of artists-in-residence. Thirty members went on a coach trip for the day in early April for a behind-the-scenes tour. Three of the artists -- Jeffrey Andrews, Claire Murray and Chris Mould -- gave us short talks telling us about their backgrounds and current artistic interests. We then went to see their studios.
Everyone was impressed with the Dean Clough set-up and, particularly, by the warm and inspirational welcome from Jeffrey, Claire and Chris
EXTENDED UNTIL SUNDAY 25 MAY
The 2025 Summer Exhibition will, as usual, be at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls. It will run from Saturday 26 July until Saturday 2 August.
